What is Hyperthermia?

The blood circulation of cancer cells is quite unique. Its blood capillary is fragile and the cells have low heat dissipation. Therefore, when the whole-body temperature approaches 41.8℃, the temperature of local tumor tissue can be 45℃ or above. This sustained high temperature for a short period makes the tumor tissue and cancer cell die and induces apoptosis while normal histocyte survives.

Hyperthermia can not only kill cancer cells directly, but it also can open up the pores and cause patient to perspire, which is a means to detoxify the body. If prescribed drugs and infused to the body during hyperthermia, their efficacy can be significantly improved. Hyperthermia can increase the sensitivity of chemotherapy and local radiotherapy.
