Female Odontopathy Prevention Tips

Adolescence

At puberty, periodontal disease is common among females, which easily causes tooth mobility, tooth gap, etc, affecting the oral appearance. If symptoms like gingival bleeding, bad breath, etc occur, females should see dentist in time.

Gestation Period

In the first and the third trimester, it is inadvisable for women to get tooth extraction because it may cause miscarriage in the early gestation and premature labor in the late gestation. However, pregnant women can treat dental diseases in the second trimester.

Menopause

In menopause, women should pay attention to dental disease prevention. At this time, aging speeds up and bone weakens as osteoporosis occurs. The alveolar bone is the first to become weak and loose, resulting in teeth loss. It is suggested that women should keep oral hygiene and visit dentist regularly to treat dental disease in time.

Menstrual Period

In the monthly period, feminine blood coagulation reduces. If tooth extraction or other oral operation is taken, it will possibly cause massive hemorrhage. It is advisable to take dental treatment 8-14 days after period. Furthermore, the 10th day is the optimal time.
