Nephrology is one of the key specialty departments at Clifford Hospital. It is led by a doctor of postdoctoral degree, experienced nephrologists and famous traditional Chinese medicine physicians, treating common and intractable kidney diseases or related conditions by integration of Western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine, with supporting hemodialysis and D&T (diagnosis and treatment) of complications after dialysis.

Nephrology consists of inpatient ward, hemodialysis center, specialty clinic. There are 33 hemodialysis machines, 2 continuous renal replacement therapy devices as well as high-flux Polysulfone dialyzers to guarantee the patients' comfort, ensuring sufficient and stable dialysis service of high quality. Our specialized treatment covers percutaneous renal biopsy under B-ultrasound, blood purification treatment, anti-rejection treatment after kidney transplant, traditional Chinese medicine for diabetic nephropathy, chronic kidney disease,etc. 

Inpatient ward

The inpatient ward possesses advanced medical technology equipment. There is also an Intensive Care Unit for kidney disease (KCU) that can offer timely and effective therapy for patients who are suffering stubborn or critical disease or multiple organ failure (MOF).

Hemodialysis Center 

The Hemodialysis Center has the latest reverse osmosis water treatment equipment and hemodialysis machines operated by skilled medical staff who are experienced in operation of hemodialysis, hemodiafiltration, plasma exchange, hemoperfusion, vitro concentration and reinfusion of ascites, artificial liver support, immunoabsorption and blood lipid separation.

Outpatient Department of Nephrology 

The outpatient department is managed by a postdoctoral degree doctor and famous TCM physicians, who are experienced in diagnosing and treating patients suffering kidney or urinary diseases such as hypertension kidney diseases, diabetic nephropathy, lupus nephritis, gout and kidney diseases, chronic renal failure, IgA nephropathy and renal nutrition, as well as treating patients after kidney transplantation, by applying TCM therapies.
