The medical laboratory department of Clifford Hospital includes the following sections: clinical chemistry, clinical pathogenic microorganism, clinical immunology, clinical blood and blood transfusion, trace element testing, pathologic examination and clinical genetic testing. Clinical genetic testing laboratory has been certified by National Center for Clinical Laboratories (NCCL) in 2004, and carried out all kinds of infection pathogen tests.

Medical Laboratory Department boasts the world's most advanced automated detection instrument, such as Japan's automated biochemical analyzer OLYMPUS-2700, France Meriere 3D automated blood culture instrument, France Meriere VITEK drug sensitivity identification analyzer, U.S. ABBO automated chemiluminescence instrument, Germany Roche E170 automated chemiluminescence instrument, Japan Sysmex XS1000I automated five-category blood cell analyzer, etc. We aim to provide accurate and inclusive laboratory services that aid clinical diagnoses and treatments. We also operate an emergency green channel to meet the needs for urgent test reports and use POCT detector to provide rapid monitoring for projects such as acute myocardial infarction and acute reaction phase protein

Medical laboratory department has a professional team that consists of more than 30 people who graduated from domestic colleges and universities, over 90% of our staff have a bachelor degree and elementary, intermediate and senior professional title. The department also has a rigorous quality assurance system and standardized process, which provide a reliable basis for laboratory medical examination and pathological diagnosis.
