Cerebral Hemorrhage

Mr. Chen, a 43 year-old man with cerebral hemorrhage

Mr. Chen was admitted from Emergency Department with unconsciousness for an hour, and was diagnosed with cerebral hemorrhage. On admission, he was in deep coma with left mydriasis and cerebral hernia.

CT showed left basal ganglia region hemorrhage which broke into the ventricle. Craniotomy evacuation of hematoma and decompressive craniectomy were conducted on him immediately and successfully. Hematomas were removed up to 70 ml. And, CT scan after surgery showed that the hematomas in the left basal ganglia region were mainly removed. Subsequently, integrative treatment was used to reduce intracranial pressure, protect the brain and prevent post-operative complications. After 2 weeks, the patient regained consciousness. And acupuncture and rehabilitation were given to him to improve body functions and he was discharged in good condition. Due to surgical skull defect, 2 months later, cranioplasty was performed to him so as to make the shape of skull become normal. Mr. Chen was recovered.
