Dr. Song Hong is a standing member of the Guangdong Association of the Integrative Traditional and Western Medicine - Digestive Endoscopy Association, and member of Infection and Hepatopathy Association and Medical Accidents Appraisal Committee of Guangdong Medical Association.

He graduated from First Military Medical University (currently known as Southern Medical University) and then has been engaging in clinical research, diagnosis and care of digestive diseases in General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Command of PLA for over 20 years. He specializes in digestive system diseases, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and minimally invasive endoscopic procedures. He is proficient in painless gastroenterological endoscopy, polyp electrocision, endoscopic submucosal dissection for early cancer, submucosal tunnel endoscopic resection (STER), endoscopic retrogradecholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and cholangiopancreatic stone removal.
